About the School:On behalf of a well-respected primary school in South Manchester, Hays Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join the team. This school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex learning difficulties. The school is a relatively large specialist support primary school based in South Manchester, catering to a vibrant population of truly outstanding children. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of primary-aged children with PMLD and complex learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for Level 3 TAs, though Level 2 TAs will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering individualised learning programs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with PMLD and complex learning difficulties.
- Help create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support students in developing social and communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Requirements:
- Ideally, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, though Level 2 will be considered.
- Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
