We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to work in an alternative provision supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of complex needs. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a dynamic and nurturing environment and is eager to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with various SEND needs, including SEMH, ASD, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.

Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning and behaviour management strategies.

Support pupils in staying engaged with classroom activities and promote their social and emotional development.

Help create a structured and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of the students.

Provide additional support during unstructured times, such as break and lunch periods, to encourage positive interactions.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEND pupils, is highly desirable.

Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
