Candidates should ideally possess an HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering and have experience with LV Switchgear solutions.
The role involves leading design and compliance for LV engineering, training junior engineers, and ensuring customer requirements are met.
A full UK driving license and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required, while experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not essential.

JOB – Senior/ Lead Electrical Design Engineer LOCATION – Greater Manchester TERM - Permanent SALARY – circa £45,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience (higher end for previous leadership experience) A Greater Manchester based Engineering company are currently looking for a Senior/ Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.The Senior/Lead Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

HNC or equivalent electrical engineering qualification or relevant discipline.
Previous experience & knowledge of LV Switchgear solutions.
Proficient with Microsoft office, outlook, excel etc.
Ideally some experience & knowledge of AutoCAD design package (not essential).
Ability to lead a team & strong communication skills.
Full UK driving license.

The Senior/ Lead Electrical Design Engineer’s duties will involve:

Lead the design, applications & compliance for all LV engineering.
Ensuring customer requirements are met at all times.
Training & supervision for the junior electrical design & applications engineers.
Producing BoMs, wiring diagrams & electrical schematics.
Troubleshooting & testing when required.
Attending site visits when required.
Liaising closely with sales and other departments to ensure requirements are met at all times.
Ensuring health & safety regulations are met at all times.
