Morson are currently looking to recruit an experianced Electrical Calibration Technician within the Calibration & Maintenance Department at our Bolton based defence client. This will involve working on Commercial Off The Shelf equipment, Electrical Safety Checks. The work is extremely varied, interesting and challenging.

12 Months Contract 

Rates: PAYE - £17.80 rising to £18.80 after 12 weeks / Umbrella - £23.91 rising to £25.26 after 12 weeks 

Role responsibilities


• Carry out calibration Electrical of COTS Equipment using METCAL.
• Maintain calibration test records and update databases.
• Provide assistance to skilled operator during the calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment
• Carry out Electrical Safety Check
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with C&M tasks in line with the Department procedures.
• Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the department.

Role requirements (skills, training and qualifications)

The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.
• Apprenticeship or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical & Electronics is preferred.
• Relevant experience in a calibration & maintenance environment.
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training – desired.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
