Manchester City Council are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support the development of a new target operating model in their ICT service. Working in human resources for a council that is 100% focussed on our people should be right up your street.
From organisational design driving change and transformation across the service, to leading on service redesign and to managing JCC and trade union consultations and relationships, the reach and impact of this role is challenging and diverse and a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and delivery focused professional.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead on service redesign and manage consultations and relationships with JCC and trade unions.
- Act as a core member of the HR and OD Service, identifying and driving improvements that link the service with the directorate.
- Support role grading, guiding hiring managers, directors, and key stakeholders in workforce planning decisions.
- Provide advice on organisational design and development to ensure effective change and transformation across the directorate.
- Ensure that large-scale organisational change projects adhere to organisational design principles and that workforce reductions are achieved when required.
- Proven track record in a Business Partner role, ideal within a Public Sector environment.
- Experience of change management and a thorough understanding of HR legislation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and challenge senior leaders.
- Experience in leading service redesign and managing trade union consultations.
- Ability to work closely with strategic directors and management teams to deliver tangible outcomes.
