BREEAM Assessor / Sustainability Consultant - Remote

This a great opportunity for an experienced Consultant to become a part of a consultancy focused on providing expert advice and solutions in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental design. They work with clients, developers, and investors to help design and deliver sustainable buildings, guiding projects through key sustainability framework. Their services include energy modelling, life-cycle assessments (LCA), carbon analysis (both embodied and operational), and low or zero-carbon design strategies.

Role Overview

  • Provide expert advice to clients, developers, and investors on BREEAM assessments, Life-Cycle Building Assessments, Embodied and Operational Carbon, and champion low or zero carbon design principles.
  • Utilize your expertise in building design, master planning, building physics, and environmental assessment frameworks (such as BREEAM, WELL, SKA, Passivhaus) to collaborate with design teams and contribute to the creation of exemplary sustainable buildings.
  • Work across a range of mixed-use, residential, commercial, leisure, and regeneration projects throughout the UK, offering sustainable design solutions at the master planning, pre-planning, and concept design stages.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance your knowledge of related fields such as HVAC and BIM, supported by a friendly and knowledgeable energy and sustainability team.

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of environmental design and sustainability strategies.
  • Experience with BREEAM assessments; BREEAM Assessor qualification preferred.
  • Familiarity with energy modelling and analysis for both residential and non-residential buildings.
  • Ideally, experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to estimate embodied carbon.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team that values quality, innovation, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
