The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of environmental permitting projects across the UK, and will have experience in one or more of the following preferably in a consultancy role; environmental permit applications and variations, environmental impact assessment using appropriate tools e.g. D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS and BAT.

We are recruiting for Senior / Principal Environmental Consultants to join our growing team, with the potential to base yourself at any of our U.K. offices, and/or home working. You will be provided with all IT equipment and software/services require to facilitate your efficient home working. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate – we are a flexible employer and are willing to consider any arrangement that is desirable to you.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will posses an Honours or Masters Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, the physical sciences, or similar, and
  • Have a have a full U.K. driving licence with clean driver record.
  • Professional chartership(s) would be viewed favourably.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with regards to one or more of the following areas/disciplines, preferably in a consultancy role:

  • Environmental permit (e.g. Industrial Emissions Directive, via PPC/EPR/IPC) applications and variations.
  • Regulatory liaison and negotiation e.g. SEPA, EA, NIEA, EPA.
  • Environmental impact assessment using appropriate tools e.g. D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS.
  • Best available technique (BAT) review of plant, equipment and processes

The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of environmental permitting projects across the UK, calling upon our internal team of multi-disciplinary engineers, scientists and consultants. He/she will be involved in the marketing and business development of relevant projects, proposal preparation and budgeting, and mentoring of less experienced colleagues, as well as technical report preparation.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and position requirements.
