Sustainability Consultant

Purobuild have partnered with a leading, global consulstancy specialising in sustainable building design and engineering. This award winning consultancy are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Consultant to join their sustainability team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in sustainability consulting and conducting BREEAM assessments. It is essential to the role that the candidate has a BREEAM AP/assessor qualification and holds a relevant degree qualification in sustainability, environmental studies, building services or a related field. This consultancy succesfully deliver high spec, complex projects across a range of sectors such as; Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Retail, Leisure and Sport, MOD.

As a Sustainability Consultant, your main responsibilities will include:

-Conducting sustainability assessments, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations to improve the sustainability of building projects
-Providing expert advice to clients across all sectors on sustainability policies, regulations, and best practices
-Developing and implementing sustainability strategies, management plans and action plans for clients
-Supporting the delivery of sustainability certifications such as BREEAM/LEED/WELL
-Conducting life cycle analysis of buildings using One-Click LCA and carbon reports
-Developing sustainability-related reports, presentations and technical documentation
-Helping train and advise junior consultants on sustainability matters and intiatives

Requirements:

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability consulting
-Relevant degree qualification in sustainability, environmental studies, building services or a related field
-Qualifications in BREEAM, LEED, One-Click LCA etc are desired
-Strong project management skills and ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, liasing with members of the engineering, design and digital team
-Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.

A competitive salary on offer typically between 35,000 - 45,000 however this depends on technical skills and level of experience, there is potential for more for the right candidate. Generous benefits package on offer, see details below.
