Account Handler (Hybrid)

Manchester M2

Southam Selections are currently recruiting for an award winning, independent insurance brokers who provide commercial business insurance for companies of all sizes.

They have just celebrated their 30 year anniversary and they are all about offering the best benefits to their employees as well as being in a modern office with lots of amenities.

They have a gorgeous office in the heart of Manchester and they are seeking someone who can deal with their large corporate accounts.

Job details include;

  • Providing technical and administrative support to relevant account execs in accordance with the company’s philosophies and standards.
  • Assisting in the development of a profitable and growing account ensuring retention levels of existing books of business are kept to an acceptable level as well as assisting account exec’s in securing new business.
  • Managing and building relationships with clients, promoting a favourable image of the company. A full-service delivery should be provided to all clients, ensuring that service standards are at the highest levels.
  • Building a general knowledge of designated clients, their industry and business operations. A working knowledge of each client’s insurance history and the polices they have in force to be maintained.
  • Assisting the account execs in providing bespoke insurances for designated clients. This includes pre-writing technical risk analysis, ensuring a working technical knowledge of policy coverage, clauses and exclusions.
  • Producing and progressing policy documentation for cases which have been agreed to ensure timely and accurate file management whether manual or electronic.
  • Providing information and prepare risk presentations to designated carriers/markets and to clients.
  • Assisting in the promotion of positive sales development of designated clients including cross selling activities.
  • Being aware of new emerging markets for cover placement
  • Maintain compliance with the company’s Procedures Manual and with the requirements of the existing regulators.
