Accounting Manager

Inside IR35 - Hybrid (Occasional travel to site in Manchester)

We're looking for an Accounting Manager to join one of our prestigious clients located in Manchester. You will help enable commercial decision-making that drives the performance for the retail business area, look to you to support the delivery of high-profile continuous improvement projects and provide valuable insights (based on financial data) to spot potential risks and opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Provide robust financial control over the monthly management accounts; making sure that deadlines are met and delivered to a high standard
  • Provide financial support to the relevant budget owners; helping to ensure the accuracy of performance results that directly impact decision-making
  • Strong large data reconciliation skills to support reconciliations analysts with variances.
  • Provide flexibility to assist wider team as required such as any project work and other key deadlines.

This role would suit people who have

  • an ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification, preferable with relevant post qualified commercial experience
  • previous experience of retail online
  • outstanding communication skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues at various levels of the business.
  • the confidence to influence others, and challenge when necessary.
