Due to growth, the company need to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable team leader for a period of circa 3 months with the potential to be extended or go permanent.Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, the role holder will primarily be responsible for handling the day to day financial transactions within the company, looking after an AP team of 10. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced company with a great culture; enabling excellent career progression for the right individual. Immediate interview & start!Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the direct people leadership of accounts payable analysts
  • Responsible for implementing, supporting and delivering accounts payable strategy
  • Managing all aspects of transactional processing within accounts payable team
  • Drive productivity and deliver services in line with KPIs
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable Manager to identify process improvements and drive best practice
  • Be the senior escalation point in the event of unresolved or complex issues
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to monitor performance and resolve issues impacting productivity and accuracy
  • Support in delivering audit
  • Recognise and communicate any risks and issues with the team, management and key stakeholders
  • Coach, train, develop and motivate the team
Skills & requirements
  • This opportunity will suit someone who has at least 3 years’ experience in AP & 2 years in management.
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office, Excel etc.
  • Confident and professional manner
  • Team player and approachable
  • Numerical skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
