What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Manager, your primary responsibility will be providing comprehensive financial support and preparing monthly management accounts. You'll also manage two Accounts Assistants on a daily basis and act as a mentor for your finance colleagues who are embarking on studies as part of their career development. Your role will extend to assisting with external reporting including year-end/ interim audits, and VAT returns. You'll be instrumental in developing the month end close process, driving efficiencies and streamlining systems/processes. Additionally, you'll maintain accounting systems and records associated with the entities in their remit.

  • Provide comprehensive financial support
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Manage day-to-day activities of two Accounts Assistants
  • Mentor junior finance colleagues
  • Assist with external reporting including year-end/ interim audits, and VAT returns
  • Develop month end close process, driving efficiencies and streamlining systems/processes
  • Maintain accounting systems and records associated with the entities in their remit
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis to support the Financial Controller
