Partner Financial are working with a large ecommerce business to search for a Commercial Finance Director to join the finance team in Manchester. Our client has an impressive track record and ambitious plans to grow over the coming years

This role will have responsibility for a team and will be responsible for the delivery of forecasting, revenue, reporting, financial planning and analysis. The Commercial Finance Director will drive the P&L, sales, will closely work with the technology and marketing functions and will provide insights and guidance to senior management and stakeholders.The business is currently going through a transformation and this role will be key in driving change through the business whilst fostering continuous improvement. It would suit someone highly analytical with change management experience who has worked in a commercial function.?With interactions at a senior level in the company, this role requires someone with excellent stakeholder skills and influencing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering by providing reliable guidance and support to investment, development, and project teams.
  • Analysis and provision of sound financial and business insights
  • Identify KPI's and metrics that can aid and improves assessment of business performance.
  • Conduct financial modelling and analysis to assess the impact of alternative project scenarios.
  • Development and investment reporting: reviewing the pipelines ensuring all data is robust and reflecting the latest positions.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and other functional areas (e.g. Marketing and Technology Teams) ensuring effective sharing of ideas and communication of key business work streams.
  • Identifying gaps and duplications in processes and adding vale by standardisation of processes by implementing and driving adoption of technology to create more resilience within the organisation.
  • Weekly and Monthly Performance Reporting on their markets.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams that embody the company's growth mindset, emphasising delivery and value creation.
  • Encourage agile thinking and a culture of ongoing innovation, staying ahead of changes, adapting to new situations, and learning from various sources while challenging existing methods.
  • Partner with the Data Science team and other Finance departments to standardise terminology and presentation styles, supporting consistent recommendations and a clear, unified value creation/ROI framework.

Ideal Candidate:

  • FMCG / Digital / Consumer / Tech / Online sector or relevant experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
  • Able to work at pace
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Good knowledge of Tableu platform
  • Provide effective way to communicate the impact of how to make changes happen
  • Good story telling skills
