We are partnering with a leading organisation in the facilities and healthcare services sector to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager for a key contract at a major Central Manchester hospital. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment, supporting senior stakeholders and driving financial performance.
The Role
As Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and commercial oversight within a complex service contract. Working closely with operational teams, you will provide valuable financial insight, support key decision-making, and help drive efficiencies across the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Support senior site management in reflecting all financial activity, including variations, rechargeable works, and project expenditure.
- Ensure billing processes align with contractual terms, with accurate documentation to support invoicing and timely payments.
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial awareness and performance, driving cost efficiencies.
- Provide commercial and financial advice, helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
- Strengthen financial controls, particularly around cost management, stock processes, and trading accounts.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.) with experience in a commercially focused finance role.
- Strong background in financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and support senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with finance systems such as SAP or similar (desirable).
