What you'll do:

As a Credit Manager, your primary responsibility will be leading the UK Finance Credit Control function. You will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and strong customer service ethos. Your expertise in credit management will be vital in ensuring operations within a risk-controlled environment. You will also be responsible for managing team performance, monitoring credit control performance against targets, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and managing customer disputes effectively. Your ability to set cash collection targets will be key in optimising company cash flow. Furthermore, your role will involve minimising exposure to bad debt through effective credit management.

- Lead the Finance Credit Control team, providing guidance and direction.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.

- Oversee credit management within a structured risk-controlled framework.

- Drive team performance through regular reviews, meetings, and performance management strategies.

- Track and assess Credit Control performance against established targets.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with financial control policies and procedures.

- Effectively manage the resolution of customer disputes.

- Establish and monitor cash collection objectives.

- Reduce bad debt risk through proactive credit management practices.

- Strong understanding of the Credit Risk lifecycle

- Advanced level proficiency in Excel

- Broad knowledge of Credit systems e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Graydon
