Are you seeking a new opportunity where you can thrive and be part of a 3-star Best Companies rated team? An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Director of Finance Operations to join us. Our Finance Team are engaged, motivated and ambitious and have the passion to drive high standards throughout the organisation.

You will successfully lead our operational finance functions, taking direct line management responsibility for our Assistant Director of Finance Services, our Assistant Director of Treasury, and our Assistant Director of Business Partnership & Planning and contribute to financial reporting, treasury management and business planning of the organisation.

As a member of our ODG, you will support our COG in the delivery of our corporate strategy and Customer Promise to ensure our vison ‘for everyone to have the opportunity to have a place they call home’. Through visible and empowering leadership, you will be a role model to the operational finance functions and maintain a unified culture to support the delivery of our strategic objectives – customer experience, growth & influence, and business excellence. You will advise COG colleagues and Board/Committee members as required, on all maters related to lead services areas (treasury management, business and financial planning, finance transactional services and financial reporting) and act as Deputy to our Chief Finance Officer.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold an appropriate accountancy and/or treasury management qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or AMCT.
  • Have significant experience of working in a senior financial position in a large/complex organisation, commensurate to the scale of our business.
  • Have a strong track record in financial services, treasury management and business planning.
  • Have experience in delivering complex processes and projects.
  • Have a strong track record in leadership and corporate responsibility, in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an approachable style.
  • Be a good negotiator and influencer, able to work intuitively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Have knowledge and experience of current issues in social housing.
  • Be willing to work flexibly, given the seniority of the role, travelling throughout the UK.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
