Job description:

Due to an internal promotion we are recuiring for  Senior Finance Manager- Group to join our team based in Manchester in a hybrid working role.  Your role is integral in leading and managing these financial functions within the company. Your remit is to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided for decision-making purposes. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Your day-to-day activities will include overseeing the financial reporting process, managing the internal and external audit, and analysing working capital. There is an opportunity to develop and streamline processes within the finance department and lead a team towards achieving financial objectives.

As our next Finance Manager Group, you will be responsible for driving the following key activities:

  • Balancing sheet management, development, review, and reporting
  • Risk and opportunities reporting- Monthly and Year End Group reporting – controller uploads (COGNOS controller consolidation tool)
  • Proactive management of the internal and external audit- Non-Trading Intercompany accounting and development of the process
  • Management and ownership of the end-to-end IFRS 16 process across Premier Group- Analysis and reporting of working capital
  • Management and development of a team of 1

  • Sound demonstration of accounting knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced team, delivering to tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
