Robert half is delighted to be working with a PE Backed hospitality business based in Manchester city center in its search for a finance manager. This is a 5 days on site role.

Job role

You will inspire the team, leading by example, and always adopting a hands-on, can-do attitude.

To ensure that all finance procedures and processes are consistent within all operational areas of the business, with the production of accurate and timely daily, weekly & monthly accounts.

To report on inconsistency found by performing internal audits and to assist the business in achieving company standard by mentoring and developing Heads of Departments in all financial aspects that will benefit the business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To prepare and consolidate the properties monthly forecast.
  • To challenge the monthly forecast
  • Update the weekly forecast on behalf of the business during the month.
  • To review and assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • To ensure that all necessary financial training is given to departmental.
  • To ensure that all accounts are reconciled as part of the Period End process.
  • To prepare P&Ls the venue subject to requirement of the GM/directors
  • To ensure reporting deadlines and formats
  • To ensure that all accounts are reconciled as part of the Period End process.
  • To ensure that Credit Card reconciliations prepared and any amounts not within reason are explained.
  • To task and challenge P&L results
  • To identify and develop financial awareness within the business through structured training and development of people outside the finance department.
  • To ensure that are finance processes used are efficient and robust and are updated to reflect the business needs.
