Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Finance Manager to join their team based in Manchester city centre.

As a key player in the financial functions of the company, your role will be pivotal in providing accurate and timely financial information for decision-making purposes. You will oversee the financial reporting process, manage internal and external audits, and analyse working capital. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and streamline processes within the finance department and lead a team towards achieving financial objectives.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in leading and managing the financial functions within the company. Your remit will include overseeing the financial reporting process, managing both internal and external audits, analysing working capital, balancing sheet management, risk reporting, proactive management of non-trading intercompany accounting, and taking ownership of the end-to-end IFRS 16 process. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop and streamline processes within the finance department while leading a team towards achieving financial objectives.

  • Oversee the financial reporting process ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Manage internal and external audits
  • Analyse working capital
  • Balance sheet management, development, review, and reporting
  • Risk and opportunities reporting- Monthly and Year End Group reporting
  • Proactive management of Non-Trading Intercompany accounting and development of the process
  • Management and ownership of the end-to-end IFRS 16 process across Premier Group

What you bring:

You should have demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and strong technical skills. Experience in strong control environments is essential along with people management & business partnering experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as experience of working in a fast-paced team, delivering to tight deadlines. Advanced Excel skills are also necessary for this role.
