Financial Planning & Analysis Manager | £70,000 | Central Manchester + hybrid | PE Backed SME ServicesJob Overview:Axon Moore are exclusively partnering alongside a rapidly growing, PE Backed Service business based in Central Manchester who have created a brand new commercial finance position.This position will play a pivotal role in the development of the finance function as they gear up for an exit in 18 months. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will receive excellent mentorship and development from a high calibre finance leader who boasts a Big 4 commercial background and extensive experience in one of Manchester's most acquisitive and high calibre finance divisions.The position will hold responsibility across the Budgeting and Forecasting process, whilst playing an integral role in the commercial assessment of business ventures and partnerships, providing insight into profitability and viability of new business ventures.We are eager to speak to individuals looking to accelerate their career, working in a fast paced PE environment.   • Lead the development of financial models to forecast future financial performance.
  • Management of the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic plan and operational goals.
  • Develop forecasts to provide financial projections on a regular basis.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide commercial analysis direct to the executive team to make data-driven decisions.
  • Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling.
  • Prepare and interpret weekly trading sales, KPI reporting and identify key performance drivers.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, marketing, and operational functions to provide insightful reporting to gain a clear understanding of departmental goals.
  • Act as a business partner to all business units to support informed financial decisions.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage financial software to streamline reporting.
  • Assist in the development of long-term financial plans.
Person Specification:
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified.
  • Experience working in a similar fast paced, PE environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in an FP&A or related commercial role.
  • Proficient in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen attention to details.
  • Advanced Excel skillset.
  • Strong Excel capability.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.
