Our client is seeking a Group Finance Manager to join their team in Manchester. This role offers a salary range of £60,000 - £65,000. The successful candidate will be responsible for regular project work, balance sheet management, risk reporting, audit management and business partnering with key stakeholder from various locations. What you'll do:

As a Group Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and reviewing the balance sheet, proactively managing internal and external audits, developing accounting processes for intercompany transactions, and ensuring correct accounting for leased assets under IFRS 16. You will also be tasked with analysing working capital and building robust forecast/budget models. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with various departments across the business.

  • Manage and review the balance sheet regularly ensuring compliance with agreed standards
  • Report and communicate balance sheet opportunities and risks effectively
  • Proactively manage internal and external audits ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop accounting processes for intercompany transactions across all companies
  • Ensure leased assets are accounted for correctly under IFRS 16 accounting standard
  • Analyse working capital and build robust forecast/budget models

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Group Finance Manager position is a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with broad finance experience. You should have strong technical skills with a sound understanding of what good control environments look like. Experience in people management and business partnering is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as you will be liaising with various stakeholders within the business. The ability to work in a fast-paced team and deliver to tight deadlines is crucial.
