The Group Internal Control Manager is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a robust internal control framework within the Group. This framework includes documentation of key process flows, process risks and relevant controls. The GICM will also manage periodic testing of key controls operating in business units.

Description

  • Develop and maintain internal control frameworks.
  • Oversee internal governance mechanisms and frameworks.
  • Conduct risk assessments.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of internal control processes to evaluate control effectiveness and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Prepare reports on control effectiveness for senior management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on internal controls design and testing.
  • Provide cover for month end consolidation and financial reporting of the Group.
  • Proactively support finance colleagues and work closely with all Regional and Divisional

Profile

A successful Internal Controls Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree and professional qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred), with more than two years of post-qualification experience in finance or internal controls.
  • Good understanding of internal controls, both financial and non-financial
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and key accounting/financial/operational principles.
  • Significant analytical skillset.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • High level of commercial acumen.
