A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance with law firm experience to join my clients team on a hybrid basis.

My client is experiencing a sustained period of growth which has created this new opportunity.

The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the financial operations for multiple entities within the law firm group, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Analysis:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in a timely manner with relevant accounting standards.Manage the consolidation of financial results from multiple entities within the group.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.alysis to management.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Analyse operating expenses and recommend reductions or adjustments as needed.

3. Risk Management:

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure the firm’s financial policies are robust and adhered to.

4. Team Leadership:

Supervise the accounting teams for each entity, providing guidance and support as needed.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

5. Reporting & Communication:

Prepare presentations and reports for management.Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.Minimum 4 years of experience in finance within a law firm.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, SRA rules and best practices in finance within a law firm.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
