CompanyAcquisitive private equity backed business have created a new role for a qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Head of Finance to lead their growing finance function.Following sustained growth, both organic and acquisitive, this role has been created to support the CFO, ensuring the Finance department is working effectively and efficiently, providing a best in class function as the business gears up for further expansion. There will be scope to support the business in upcoming acquisitions, onboarding of those acquisitions and taking a lead on critical projects across the group. This is a key appointment for the business and will provide future succession planning for the CFOKey responsibilities
  • Overseeing the production of monthly and annual accounts;
  • Pursuing and implementing improvements in processes and controls;
  • Enhancing financial analysis and internal reporting;
  • Budgeting, forecasting, providing analysis and guidance to the business
  • Business partnering with key non-finance stakeholders
  • Supporting with acquisition targets and providing onboarding strategy
  • Ensuring reconciliation requirements across the teams are met, including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and external stock reconciliations;
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow;
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure successful annual audits;
  • Leading on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for your teams.
Key Skills preferred
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Previous people management experience
  • Proven leadership, delegation, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of improving and implementing robust controls and procedures
