Transnational Finance Manager| Manchester City Centre (Hybrid) | 3 month FTC (potential to be extended) | £39,000 - £43,000 DOEAxon Moore are exclusively recruiting an Transnational Finance Manager for a reputable business in Manchester City Centre. This role is to cover for an initial 3 months (potential to be extended). Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 4, whilst acting as the primary coordinator for setting up bank payments to suppliers. This is perfect for someone who has previous experience managing both AR & AP teams, and who isn’t afraid of rolling up their sleeves as the role will involve administrative support alongside payment processing and financial reconciliation.Responsibilities:Payment Processing
  • Processing BACS runs at least twice a week (depending on demand).
  • Facilitating float payments through internal bank transfers, external account payments, and cash transactions.
  • Handling ad-hoc payments for staff, contractors, or employees as needed.
Financial Reconciliation
  • Performing monthly reconciliation for key bank accounts and petty cash.
  • Conducting regular reviews of banking activity as well as balance sheet codes.
  • Validating and importing data into the Access financial system.
Administrative and Support
  • Acting as line manager to four direct reports, providing training and support and acting as approver (including but not limited to purchase orders/invoices/expenses/bank reconciliations)
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for financial queries, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Managing financial administration tasks, including but limited to providing financial information to third parties when required (i.e. setting credit accounts up with suppliers) and handling forms for new cardholders.
  • Assist in logging tickets into the Access Financials support portal, serving as a liaison between end-users and Access.
  • Supporting the broader finance team and providing cover when required.
  • Compiling staff changes for payroll processing, working with HR to resolve payroll queries, calculating pay, and ensuring accurate submission and verification of payroll data with our provider.
  • Submitting monthly staff pension information to our pension provider.
  • Assisting with process improvements.
Person Specification
  • Experience of working in a busy finance department, preferably in the arts/culture sector.
  • Part Qualified, or QBE
  • Excellent people, organisational and communication skills.
  • Good experience of using SAGE or other accountancy packages.
  • Experience of accounting for VAT and other tax.
  • Excellent systems and administrative skills, including advance use of Excel.
  • Experience of working with databases.
  • Able to work under pressure accurately and efficiently.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude, including a flexible approach to developing and delivering the job
