NJR Recruitment is currently working with a small and established firm of Independent Financial Advisers based in Manchester City Centre. In 2007, our Client were one of the very first firms in the UK to be awarded Chartered status, which has been renewed every year since. An opportunity is available for an Administrator to form part of a hard-working team. The successful Candidate will have experience of different products (especially pensions) in respect of completing LOA summaries and be able to interpret and collate information correctly from providers and therefore a background working in an IFA Firm is essential.

Day to day duties will include :

  • Issuing and chasing letter of authority
  • Collating information from product providers on clients existing arrangements
  • Obtaining all pre-sale documentation including quotations
  • Execution only letters
  • Preparing valuation reports
  • Adviser Fee/Cash balance checks
  • Quarterly Managed Portfolio rebalances and follow up checks
  • Checking fund switches
  • Dealing with death claims and surrenders
  • General administration and office duties
  • Updating and managing the client database
  • Adhere to the FCA’s Conduct Rules

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong academic background-Minimum GCSE .
  • Previous experience of working within an IFA practice.
  • Confident IT skills with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Willingness to learn and take on ad hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders politely and courteously.
  • Working towards either level 3 Certificate in Financial Services or level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
  • A degree relating to financial services. I.e. Banking, Economics, Business, Accounting or Finance.
