Hays Health & Safety are excited to work with this growing company based in Greater Manchester to support them in finding a QSHE advisor to join the business.As this company continues to grow, promote and develop they are seeking a professional QSHE advisor passionate about the role.You will have a background in Construction & Utilities and a good knowledge of regulations and working practices within these sectors.You will work in a team of 5 HSQE advisors reporting to the HSQE manager and therefore will be expected to communicate effectively across all levels of the business and drive and continuously improve the Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental work practices. Your new roleIn your role as HSQE advisor you will need to;

  • Ensure robust compliance requirements are met (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, Lloyds register, NERS, GIRS and WIRS).
  • Be involved in trend analysis, managing incidents, investigation findings and next steps.
  • Provide solutions and communicate best practice to key stakeholders.
  • Drive the Health & Safety culture through a behaviour-based safety programme.
  • Audit and identify areas of strengths & weaknesses, ensuring all systems and control measures are successfully implemented.
  • Provide regular safety briefings to site teams.
  • Support HSQE reporting.
  • Assist in dealing with enquiries from statutory bodies.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will need to be motivated and passionate about Health and Safety, you must be driven to uphold environmental and quality standards at all times and be a confident communicator at all levels. Along with being a positive team player, diplomatic and having the ability to work independently and plan your own workload.You will have extensive experience in a supervisory HSQE position and ideally worked within the construction sector holding a NEBOSH certificate in construction Health and Safety and ideally have a NEBOSH/IEMA environmental qualification and be a member of IOSH.
