We are currently working with a leading logistics provider in Swinton, who are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with UK and international regulations.
- Complete customs declarations for imports and exports efficiently and accurately.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure smooth processing of shipments.
- Monitor shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as required.
- Stay up to date with changes to customs regulations and ensure compliance is maintained.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of required customs documents.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in customs clearance and freight forwarding, ideally within a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK customs regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using customs clearance software and systems.
