A leading fire and security contractor is looking for a Field Line Manager to join their team in Manchester to oversee fire door and fire stopping works across social hoising clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight & Delivery:

    • Manage and oversee fire door and fire stopping projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and compliance standards.
    • Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring smooth operations across multiple projects.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise, support, and motivate on-site teams, including installers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
    • Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all fire door installations and fire stopping works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal quality protocols.
    • Perform regular site inspections, audits, and snagging to maintain high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
  • Health & Safety Management:

    • Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring adherence to risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and site safety procedures.
    • Investigate and report any incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, site managers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support customer satisfaction and future business opportunities.
  • Resource & Material Management:

    • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment, to meet project demands.
    • Monitor inventory levels, place orders as needed, and ensure timely delivery of materials to site.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, project documentation, and compliance certificates.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting project performance, risks, and areas for improvement.
