Our client, has the exciting position of Assistant Fees Manager available in their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the administration of fees and contribute to the success of the team.

What You'll Do:As an Assistant Fees Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently managing professional fee collections and conducting aged debt reviews.
  • Monitoring and tracking individual income to ensure consistent revenue flow.
  • Keeping an eye on aged debt levels for professional client firms, analysing payment frequency.
  • Engaging with individuals regarding their aged debts, including arranging regular Aged Debt Review meetings.
  • Collaborating with professional clients to build mutually beneficial relationships
  • Handling requests for amendments to bills and cost negotiations.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a fee collection or credit control role.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret numerical data effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with colleagues and external professional contacts.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to manage your own workload while prioritising tasks.
  • A positive, constructive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.

Desirable:

  • An understanding of barrister aged debt reports and fee chasing.
  • Experience with CCMS for online legal aid processing.
  • Knowledge of various legal aid streams.
  • Familiarity with LEX case management system or similar software.
