There is a new vacancy for a Senior Associate to join a top, National Legal 500 firm’s growing Catastrophic Injury team within their Personal Injury department, in the Manchester office.The Department:Each year, their Personal Injury department secures millions of pounds in compensation for clients across the UK by taking positive action on their behalf and presenting the strongest possible case.Their team of expert personal injury lawyers produce some of the best results in the industry. Over decades of success, the department has received recognition from numerous legal institutions, including being ranked in band 1 for personal injury work in the Northwest for both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. The role:In this role, you handle a caseload made up of high value multi-track and catastrophic injury claims brain injuries predominately, as well as spinal cord cases and poly trauma. You will be joining a growing and supportive team with substantial experience and long-established reputations in catastrophic injury.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a caseload of serious injury claims, subject to partner supervision and in some cases partner led.
  • Ensuring excellent client care and outcomes and good organisational skills in file management.
  • Maintaining high client satisfaction and good working relationships with referrers, experts and counsel.
  • Working in a team environment and developing less-experienced team members.
  • Taking responsibility for personal development and CPD training requirements.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in law and procedure.
About you:To succeed in this role, you will be a Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE and a solid grounding in serious injury claims work. You should also be able to demonstrate: 
    • Experience of handling a caseload of catastrophic injury claims at grade A or B fee earner level with skill and care.
    • An ability to progress cases technically, while maintaining excellent client care standards.
