Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an EC&I Technician to work at a CCGT power plant in Manchester.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the EC&I Team Leader, you will:

  • Perform maintenance and fault-finding on electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with industry standards.
  • Use the site CMMS to manage work orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors on-site.
  • Develop and implement technical procedures and work instructions.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in project work and support other departments as required.
  • Take part in the out-of-hours on-call system.


Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A relevant apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in electrical or control & instrumentation maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems, C&I hardware, and automation systems.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
