NPD TECHNOLOGIST

We have an exciting opportunity for an NPD Technologist to join a company who value their employees, encourage innovation, and foster a positive culture. Be part of their Manchester team, here they will invest in your growth and offer a great working environment.

This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Integrating ingredient & recipe information into company systems
  • Generating and overseeing documentation for Product Development
  • Ensuring ingredient approval processes are followed
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Production for smooth project transitions
  • Liaising with ingredient suppliers and obtaining legal advice
  • Supporting cost-saving and optimisation projects
  • Working with Purchasing on ingredient and flavouring procurement
  • Managing trials and new liquid development with flavour houses
  • Providing liquid information for labels across different markets
  • Organising shelf life and sensory trials for new products and ingredients

The ideal candidate will;

  • Have extensive experience of working in New Product Development
  • Good level of general education up to A Level or equivalent as a minimum
  • Good administration skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to maintain a high level of discipline with the daily adherence to product quality
  • Able to work on own initiative with little or no supervision
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team and working cross functionally
