Food Industry experience is essential

Sorry, no sponsorship available.

I am recruiting on behalf of a company in the Manchester area who really are experts in what they do, they are one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the area. This means there is a great vibe amongst the manufacturing environment as well as the all the 'behind the scenes' teams. They are on the lookout for a detail-oriented QA Technologist to join the business. You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are consistently met throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll work closely with the rest of the QA team to maintain product quality, safety, and compliance, ensuring that all processes are audit ready.

The product itself is a good one, no nasty smells or chilled environments. Some of the collaborations they have done with leading brands in the industry have been simply sensational.

You will need to be able to work in a relatively fast paced environment while keeping a level head and being organised. Knowing what I know about the existing QA team I know you will have the full support of them to ensure you are comfortable and confident in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage product quality, from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Analyse products and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints and help identify root causes.
  • Support and train QA technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with audits.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Essential: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication, food industry experience.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of QA systems, HACCP.
