A prestigious engineering company in Irlam is seeking an experienced office-based sales estimator for their manufacturing operations.
The role involves estimating architectural metal work components, obtaining supplier quotations, and managing customer relations.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in developing new business for construction-related firms, with additional years potentially substituting for a bachelor's degree.
The salary for this position ranges from £37,000.00 to £43,000.00 per year, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 08:00 to 16:30.
Applicants should possess previous manufacturing estimation experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our Prestigious Engineering client based in Irlam are looking for an experienced office based sales estimator required for their fast-paced manufacturing company, estimating architectural metal work components and assemblies, materials and processes including turret punching, routing, Press Brake Forming, Welding, Assembly together with obtaining costs from sub-contract suppliers for finishing operations. Customer liaison regarding pricing / lead times and delivery schedules. Main Responsibilities:- Estimating architectural metal work.- Obtaining supplier quotations- Manage and maintain relations with existing customers- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers- The candidate will be expected to follow up estimates, negotiate and secure orders.- Liaising with production ref lead times/delivery scheduleKnowledge, Skills, Experience:- Previous manufacturing estimation / costing experience essential. (Sheetmetal / fabrication)- Excellent communication skills at all levels- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills- Computer literate, Microsoft office etc,- Attention to detail a must.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment- Ability to understand and interpret technical Drawings.- Minimum of five years' experience developing new business for construction related firms, additional years of experience may substitute for bachelor's degree.Salary: £37,000.00-£43,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 Experience:- Estimating: 2 years minimum (preferred)If you feel you have the required skills and experience for the role then please submit your cv or call Andy @Bamford contract services on .
