What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical and psychiatric care to patients within the Adult Inpatient Acute Service, ensuring effective assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans are in place.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in daily ward rounds, collaborate with nurses, psychologists, and therapists to deliver tailored, patient-centered care.
  • Treatment Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, supporting patients in their recovery journey.
  • Mental Health Leadership: Offer guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring high standards of clinical care across the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives to drive service excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Medical Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical degree with full GMC registration.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in adult inpatient mental health services is highly desirable.
    • Previous experience working with patients in acute psychiatric settings is a plus.
    • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
