Tax Manager | £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits | PE Backed business | Manchester (Hybrid)Job Overview:Axon Moore is exclusively working with a PE Backed, Global organisation that is expanding the finance function with the addition of a Tax Manager into their already impressive finance function.This position will play an essential role in the ongoing relationship between the external tax partners and internal function, coordinating the work and continually building the professional relationship.We are looking to speak with individuals with a strong background in Corporation Tax, with someone boasting experience in practice and industry of particular interest.This successful applicant will enjoy a hybrid working environment that has a strong focus on culture and values as they continue to build a finance function that mirrors their ambition and values.It is an exciting time to join the business, with real growth potential in this job and proven examples of excellent mentorship across finance.Salary: £75,000 + bonus + benefitsLocation: Manchester (hybrid working, 3 days a week)Main Duties:• Oversee the coordination of corporation tax for the Group.• Calculate the Group’s payments on account on a quarterly and bi/annual basis.• Carry out R&D tax relief claims.• Review the controlled foreign companies' position on an annual basis.• Oversee the Group’s indirect returns including the submission of returns prepared by the UK/ International Management team.• Ensure all VAT filings are made on time.• Regularly review VAT rates in the finance system and provide details on any future changes.• Review digital filing requirements for indirect returns.• Develop working relationships with tax advisors and tax authorities.• Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies that align with business objectives.• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the business. • Support the business in managing international tax issues.• Support the business in managing payroll tax issues.• Ensure the company maintains documentation to support its tax position.• Support tax audits and inquiries from any relevant authorities. • Monitor and assess tax risk, implementing strategies to mitigate potential risk.• Document and communicate the Group’s transfer pricing policy and local pricing files on an annual basis.• Prepare the year-end management recharge calculations.Person Specification:• ACA or CTA Qualified.• Experience working in a Big 4 Audit firm,• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws.• Experience in preparing and filing corporate tax returns and VAT returns.• Experience working alongside HMRC.• Strong Excel capability.• Excellent communicator.• Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.This is a great opportunity to work for a company experiencing strong growth.
