Trainee Powered Access Engineer (Hire Workshop)

Are you an Engineer with experience of LOLER inspections or Powered Access repairs looking to progress their career through a IPAF certified company and trainer who value progression and great earning potential?

This company have been established for nearly eight decades, has grown over multiple sites and divisions whilst establishing itself as the first carbon neutral hire company. Being home to an IPAF and PASMA approved training centre, development and training are a focus for the whole team.

This role will see the successful candidate perform a range of maintenance work and LOLER inspections on a wide fleet of powered access equipment, whilst striving to achieve their CAP qualification. With a base understanding of LOLER inspections, the successful candidate will be put through the necessary course to certify them as a Competent Assessed Person who can perform inspections of construction hoists, MEWPs and MCWPs.

The Training:

  • Shadowing and inhouse training
  • PASMA training
  • IPAF training
  • CAP Certifications
  • Abrasive Wheels Training

The Role:

  • Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00
  • Maintenance and upkeep of Powered Access Equipment
  • LOLER inspection on machines both onsite and in depot
  • Ensure fleet meets company standards and regulations through thorough inspection
  • Attend site for breakdowns and repairs
  • Highlight any deficiencies or defects that will affect safe operation of equipment
  • Ensure all inspections meet manufacturer specifications

The Person:

  • Proven experience in a similar position
