DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take complete ownership of your department
  • Protect brand image at all times
  • Ability to work to and manage the critical path and key launch dates
  • Ensure the clear execution of new product drops are always on time
  • Research new trends and influential members of society & socials
  • Focus on fabrics, trims and newness that will elevate the brand
  • Research, prepare and present moodboards & creative briefs for your area
  • Be prepared for wearer trials to ensure that all garments are fit for purpose
  • work closely and collaboratively with you garment tech to ensure quality, fit and practicality is always being looked after
  • Work in tandem with your buyer to ensure visions are achievable with the supply base, timeframes, lead times
  • Utilise wider team like buyer and merch to obtain commercial info around best sellers
  • Work into move ons and newness constantly
  • Contribute to weekly trade actions
  • When briefing suppliers, ensure all teams members are onboard with your vision and ensure that all briefs are highly detailed
  • Attend all fit sessions
  • Work openly with wider design team for cohesion in season
