A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure and Planning Officer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a planning and infrastructure environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role to ensure the Council positively exercises its statutory and discretionary duties and responsibilities in line with current legislation in connection with CIL and S106 Agreements.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all CIL and S106 queries and supplying information in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out the day-to-day organisational and administrative tasks for both CIL and S106.
  • Undertake all necessary end-to-end elements required by Trafford Council as the charging and collecting authority to implement CIL under the relevant regulations.
  • Ensuring continuous quality control of data in relation to the monitoring, implementation, and/or enforcement of CIL and S106 Agreements.
  • Facilitating the timely collection, allocation, and expenditure of CIL in accordance with the CIL Spending Protocol and S106 contributions in accordance with the terms of S106 agreements.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role managing and implementing CIL.
  • Previous experience of monitoring and managing S106 agreements.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong knowledge of planning policies and local government regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering 24 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 20 per hour PAYE).
