We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and thriving secondary high school in South Manchester, seeking an experienced and visionary Deputy Headteacher to lead on Behaviour, Safeguarding, and Student Wellbeing. This is a permanent, full-time position, starting on 1st September 2025.

About the Role:
As a Deputy Headteacher with a focus on Behaviour, Safeguarding, and Student Wellbeing, you will play a key role in shaping the culture and ethos of the school. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading strategies that promote positive behaviour, ensure robust safeguarding practices, and enhance the overall wellbeing of students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader to make a significant impact within a school that is committed to supporting and developing both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Leading and managing the school's behaviour policies and strategies to create a safe, respectful, and high-achieving environment.
- Overseeing safeguarding processes to ensure all students are protected and well-supported.
- Supporting student wellbeing initiatives, providing guidance and leadership in areas of pastoral care and emotional health.
- Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to student welfare.
- Supporting and mentoring other leaders within the school, promoting a culture of continuous professional development.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced leader with a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing. You will have a proven track record in school leadership, ideally in a pastoral or behaviour-focused role, and will be passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where all students can thrive.
