Meridian Business Support is seeking a qualified Head of Department for a Further Education College in Greater Manchester.
The ideal candidate should have experience delivering A level courses in business, economics, film, journalism, media, and English Lang/Lit.
The role offers a pay rate of £35.00 - £45.00 per hour and requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and have management experience in a similar role.
The position is available for 26 hours per week, starting ASAP, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Meridian Business Support are working on behalf of a state-of-the-art Further Education College based in the Greater Manchester area. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Department, with experience delivering A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit. to deliver stimulating and informative lessons to their students.Role: Head of Department - A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit. Location: Greater Manchester Pay rate: £35.00 - £45.00 per hour Start date: ASAPDuration: 2 months/3 months, very possible extension for the right candidateRole responsibilities:

To teach Tutorial / Film 1.5 hours
Must have experience of Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.Plan and deliver stimulating and exciting lessons
Experience as a manager required
To mark assessments

Ideal Candidates:

PGCE or other equivalent teaching qualification within Further Education
Experience as a Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
Ideally the candidate should also have experience of delivering T levels
Able to mark assessments
A DBS on the update service
Can start work as soon as possible

Hours of work

26 hours per week, Monday to Friday
