Computer Science Teacher

Computer Science Teacher - Stockport - February start We are specifically working with a secondary school near Stockport, who are working with ourselves, to recruit for a qualified teacher of Computer Science from after the February half term break, for 1.5 terms, until they break for summer, teaching key stage 3 & 4 classes on a full-time basis. You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. There is a fairly new headteacher in the school that has taken control and increased expectations in relation to behaviour and curriculum. Due to the new leadership internal inspections have suggested the school is Good against the new Ofsted framework. Many pupils follow instructions and focus well on their learning. Location Stockport Position Computer Science Teacher Type of work full time Start date February 2025 Duration 1.5 terms End date - July 2025 Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day Hours 8:30 am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree educated with a good classification (2:2). in a relevant subject QTS Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference). Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided). Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided). Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).
