Science Teacher

Equitas is excited to partner with a dynamic and inclusive mixed state school to find an exceptional General Science Teacher to join their thriving science department. The successful candidate will inspire, motivate, and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons that foster curiosity and academic excellence in all areas of science.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated science lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
• Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in accordance with the national curriculum.
• Promote curiosity and critical thinking through practical experiments and theoretical lessons.
• Monitor and track student progress, identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of innovative teaching resources.
• Create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s policies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
• Act as a positive role model, upholding the school’s values and ethos.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar).
• Proven experience teaching science at Key Stages 3 and 4. (NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply.)
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
