The School and Role  

We are looking for a competent and sympathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a year 2 pupil with special educational needs (SEN), with a specific focus on language development. This is a valuable and highly rewarding prospect that can make a profound impact in a child’s life chances.

You will be part of the wider Key Stage 1 Team working 8:30-3:30pm daily, term time only.

Requirements

The requested skillset the desired Teaching Asssitant for Key Stage 1, Year 2 role you will require;

  • The school strive to create a balanced, sensory and learning approach that I appropriately intriguing and rewarding.
  • Distribute adaptive and high-quality sessions within KS1, Year 2.
  • Knowledge of the sensory needs or Special Educational awareness, triggers and strategies to support.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and bring plenty of ideas to support KS1 Year 2 children.
  • Positive and resilient role model for children, parents and the local community.
