We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Housing Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our social housing properties. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring safe, well-maintained, and supportive housing environments for vulnerable and low-income residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of social housing properties, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, safety standards, and tenant rights
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repair work
- Handle tenant applications, screening, and allocation of housing units
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns and providing supportive interventions
- Manage rental collections, lease agreements, and financial aspects of housing management
- Collaborate with social services, community organizations, and local authorities to support tenant well-being
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each property and tenant
- Implement tenant support programs and community engagement initiatives
- Ensure properties meet accessibility and inclusivity standards
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in social housing or property management
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and tenant rights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to social welfare
