Role:          HR Advisor (Energy / Utilities)

Summary: Out client, a leading utilities company, is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their growing team of 3. Working closely with the HR Manager, you’ll provide a proactive and effective HR service across all departments covering all generalist HR duties.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied HR workload. Key responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on employment matters and assist with day-to-day HR issues.
  • Support payroll, benefits administration, and absence-related deductions.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, inductions, and probation reviews.
  • Oversee absence management, including return-to-work meetings/sickness monitoring
  • Assist with recruitment - liaising with agencies, advertising roles, reviewing applications
  • Support employee relations - disciplinary, grievances, performance management
  • Ensure compliance with policies, employment law, and contribute to policy updates 
  • Handle HR queries, support projects, and deputise for the HR Manager as needed.

Skills and experience required:

  • Level 3 CIPD qualification or above 
  • HR experience within the energy or utilities sector would be an advantage 
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. 
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proactive, confident, and able to work effectively in a team. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. . 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Flexible and willing to travel to sites across the UK.
