My established client is seeking a First Line Support Specialist (FLSS) to join their growing team at their Trafford office.

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience of working in a similar role. My client will offer comprehensive training support through qualifications and further training as you develop your career. As long as you have a desire to achieve, a strong work ethic and a passion for technology, then they will support you to fulfil your ambitions!

Initially, you’ll be working Monday to Friday in this position, but once you have received all your training we anticipate you will move to a shift pattern - further details upon application

Day to Day:

A FLSS will deal with issues when they come in and resolve the problems quickly. The FLSS will have access to a "live" team of engineers who they can work with to resolve the issue. The FLSS will be expected to manage the issue from inception to completion and will play a role in creating Root Cause Analysis and Reason for Outage documentation.

The FLSS will also manage communication between the customer, the engineers and any other third parties that are involved in the investigation.

The FLSS will also carry out important system changes, updates, patches and other fixes as required during their shifts.

Person Specification:

Must Demonstrate

  • A strong sense of responsibility, you will be working unusual hours and must ensure you are always available during your shift.
  • Previous experience working outside of normal business hours
  • Strong Customer Service, Organisational and Strategic Planning Skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • A keen interest in Information Technology
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • A Can-Do attitude
  • Excellent Telephone manor
  • The ability to meet strict deadlines
  • A positive attitude when working under pressure
  • Being a Team Player
  • Being a Problem Solver

Desirable Skills (not mandatory)

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Networking Experience (Cisco CCNA or similar)
