We have an opportunity for a PMC Project Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Didsbury, where you will act as Project Technical Lead for ongoing PLC/SCADA/DCS projects delivered by Honeywell PMC. The role will include providing technical direction, supporting and guiding customers and System Integrators ensuring technical project delivery is in line with Honeywell best practice, documentation and standards. You will own the project issue register associated with PMC projects and systematically resolve all outstanding issues in consultation with TAC and Honeywell PMC organization.

This is a remote role, with around 40% travel within UK and Northern Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and in-person site support to deploy solutions, fixes and patches to resolve technical issues. Deliver PLC/SCADA/DCS training to operators, maintenance staff and engineers.
  • Assist in delivering PMC lead projects by building computer platforms, installing software and licenses, migrating older versions of SCADA/DCS to latest releases and providing documentation for new projects.
  • Support PMC Project Managers in review calls by providing clarity on technical issues, and remedial actions. Document key findings and resolutions as customer Frequently Asked Questions document ensuring similar problems are not repeated across projects.
  • Own the Technical Review process as part of the bidding phase. Assist with reviewing RFQ’s and work with P&E team to create project specific solutions, architectures and proposals.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the Customer Experience Centre in Manchester.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable project engineering experience in delivering complex Process Automation projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochem and Power Generation verticals.
  • Ability to extract project requirements from P&ID and interpreting User Requirement Specifications, Functional Design Specifications and Control narratives.
  • A strong team player with collaborative mindset, able to articulate and convey complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders during bidding and project execution.
  • Open minded and committed to learn new technologies, products and service models to support technology adoption by channel partners and customers.
  • Ability to construct and deliver training and examinations materials to increase and certify the competence of customers and integrators.
