The Role:
Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join a dynamic IT and Scientific Computing Team. This role involves providing end-user support, managing user accounts, and maintaining network and Windows systems, with a focus on virtualisation and security.
Duties:

  • Manage Active Directory and MS Entra ID user accounts.
  • Support the network infrastructure, including enterprise firewall configuration.
  • Deploy and manage Windows virtual machines using Azure Stack HCI.
  • Provide second-level IT support for Windows and Mac users.
  • Ensure network security best practices and IT system integrity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with IT project implementation.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in network management, firewall security, and Active Directory administration.
  • Proficiency in Windows server management and virtualisation platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Azure and enterprise IT solutions is beneficial.
