The Role:
Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join a dynamic IT and Scientific Computing Team. This role involves providing end-user support, managing user accounts, and maintaining network and Windows systems, with a focus on virtualisation and security.
Duties:

Manage Active Directory and MS Entra ID user accounts.
Support the network infrastructure, including enterprise firewall configuration.
Deploy and manage Windows virtual machines using Azure Stack HCI.
Provide second-level IT support for Windows and Mac users.
Ensure network security best practices and IT system integrity.
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with IT project implementation.

Required Skills:

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in network management, firewall security, and Active Directory administration.
Proficiency in Windows server management and virtualisation platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Knowledge of MS Azure and enterprise IT solutions is beneficial.
